Showa Kinen Park is vast, so humongous in fact that it's split into five separate zones. Anyone after a refreshing dip in an outdoor pool should head straight for Zone C, where Rainbow Pool houses nine different kinds of pool as well as an impressive selection of water slides and wave machines. While this is an attractive proposition for boisterous teenagers and overgrown kids alike, families will probably prefer the less raucous Water Playland – a selection of five pools better suited to smaller children (though anyone who can keep dad off the Tarzan rope deserves a medal).
