Review

Housed next to a laundromat on the ground floor of an apartment building, the Teru no Yu bathhouse couldn't look much shabbier from the outside. The inside isn't much better, either, although your money goes a long way here: the indoor bathtubs include one fashioned from cypress wood, and there's also a small outdoor rotenburo. As an added bonus, the sauna is free to use, and if you come unprepared you can buy a soap, shampoo and towel set for just ¥100. Non-smokers be warned that the lobby is often crawling with tobacco fiends, which isn't especially appealing when you're freshly washed.
