Review

It may be outshone in the luxury market by the myriad new entrants, but the Cerulean is Shibuya’s lone top-end establishment, and with rooms on the 19th to 37th floors of the area’s tallest building, it offers grandstand views (not least from many of the bathrooms). In addition to the usual restaurants and bars, it also has a jazz club, JZ Brat. Room furnishings may be a step down from the likes of the Grand Hyatt, but so is the price. Except, that is, for the 35th to 37th Executive Floors, which offer free access to the gym, daily newspapers, web TV and refreshments in the salon.
