Akihabara is known for its maid cafés, and this izakaya builds on that trend while still going in its own and very peculiar direction. Many of the staff are former 'maids', but they've exchanged their dresses for traditional festival-style happi coats or yukata, and entertain customers with interactive shows that aim to recreate the typical Japanese matsuri experience. The food is mostly standard pub fare, but the background music, decorations and atmosphere are what makes Omotenashi stand out from the crowd. Wasshoi!
