Tokyo Earth Ride 2010 supported by Enjoy!Sport

Mon Oct 11, 2010 Taiyou no Hiroba, Shiokaze Koen, Odaiba

Time Out says

A cycling event in which participants can choose their own start point – for example, their apartment or workplace – and pass through various checkpoints (including checkpoints located by the still-under-construction Tokyo Sky Tree and Tokyo Tower) between the hours of 10am and 2pm, before arriving at Taiyou no Hiroba in Shiokaze Park in Odaiba. Special guests taking part in the event include triathlete and sports host Taro Shirato and ‘cycle life navigator’ Kinuyo. Participants who register their route (including their start point) with Mapion Mobile beforehand can receive a special service that allows them to measure their total distance, number of calories burnt, and CO2 saving (when compared to other forms of transport). Helmets are compulsory and participants are advised to ‘keep left’ and pay close attention to road safety. Registration for the event can be made via the Sports Entry website (www.sportsentry.ne.jp/event.php?tid=22558).
