Vietnam Festival 2011

Sat Sep 17 - Sun Sep 18, 2011 Yoyogi Park

Time Out says

You can get two Asian countries for the price of one in Yoyogi Park this weekend: while Vietnam is flaunting its myriad cultural treats in the main stage area, Nepal will be having a little fair of its own on the tree-lined avenue that leads towards the NHK building. The lineup of performers at the Vietnam Festival is downright bizarre, running from V-pop singers Ho Quynh Huong, Hien Thuc and Noo Phuoc Thinh to – we kid you not – Japanese Queen tribute band Gueen (playing at noon on Sunday, if you're interested). Over at the Nepal fest, meanwhile, you can look forward to displays of handicapped wrestling and a 'handsome boy contest'. Free entertainment doesn't come much better than this.
