Festival Brasil 2011

Sat Sep 3 - Sun Sep 4, 2011 Yoyogi Park

Time Out says

Of all the nation-themed festivals that take place in Yoyogi Park over the course of the year, it's the Brazilian one that tends to be the most downright festive. Organisers have had to cancel plans to start things on Friday afternoon this year owing to an approaching typhoon, but it'll be going ahead as usual on Saturday and Sunday. The special guests include Banda Blitz, a rock group who are due to celebrate their 30th anniversary next year, and TV presenter Ana Maria Braga. There'll also be a capoeira workshop held on both days on the tree-lined avenue that leads towards the NHK building, plus samba, low-cut jeans galore, and stalls selling Brazilian goods, food and booze.
