Reminding us all what a gorgeous planet we live on, the Japan Wildlife Film Festival has been going on since 1993, and now returns for its 12th edition. In addition to the main programme of 48 film screenings – all free to attend – you can look forward to a fun fossil dig for children as part of National Geographic's dinosaur special, contributions from the BBC and Disney Nature, plus talks with the festival judges and special guests, including Spanish director Arturo Menor and the production team involved with Taiwanese entry Fly, Kite Fly, a look at one of the island's rarest birds of prey. The full list of films can be viewed here. Head over to Odaiba's Miraikan over the weekend for plenty of real-world drama and thought-provoking imagery.
