What better way to make use of the empty space inside Marunouchi's Kitte building than to set up a full-on sumo dohyo (ring) on the ground floor? Taking time out of their busy training schedules in the lead-up to September's Grand Sumo tournament at the Kokugikan, a number of top rikishi will be making appearances during the event period, while retired pros show off against kids on August 15 from 1pm. You'll also want to check out the Grand Sumo exhibition (on 11am-9pm August 12-28, 1F Atrium) before the main event on August 29, when all three yokozuna wrestlers are scheduled to make appearances. You'll need a special ticket to attend this one, though – details (in Japanese) can be viewed here.
