The summer edition of TIL&GFF is back with a selection of new and interesting films on sexual minorities, including Panos H Koutras's 2014 award-winning road movie Xenia, Kazutoshi Inudo's Crack (Akagire), an exploration of a drifting bisexual girl, and Appropriate Behavior, Desiree Akhavan's eye-opening treatment of the 'perfect' Persian family and the secret that haunts its daughter. 12 films will be shown in the main section, while there will also be an International Shorts programme, a Taiwan Focus feature and the Rainbow Reel Competition, which features five Japanese LGBT-related flicks (the full program can be found here). Screenings take place at Shinjuku's Cinem@art between July 11 and 17, and at Spiral Hall in Omotesando between July 17 and 20. All non-English language films are screened with English subtitles.
