Côte d'Ivoire-Japan Friendship Day Festival

Sun Jun 21, 2015 Yoyogi Park

Time Out says

A match between the national teams of Japan and the West African country of Côte d’Ivoire (aka Ivory Coast) at last summer's World Cup provided a convenient excuse to set up this quirky one-day festival, which is now returning for its second year. Head to Yoyogi Park's Event Plaza for authentic Ivorian food – think couscous-like acheke, spicy chicken stew and fried bananas – a handicraft market and funky music courtesy of Oswald Kouame and drummer Ibrahim Konate, plus some supporting Japanese talent.
