Formerly held at the beginning of September, Yoyogi Park's annual Brazilian festival now takes place at the height of the summer – just to ensure maximum sweatiness, we presume. Expect big crowds, exposed midriffs and plenty of hip-shaking, all fuelled by generous quantities of churrasco barbecue, acai berries and caipirinhas. The stage performances include capoeira, samba and appearances by the likes of pop songbird Luiza Possi and veteran singer-songwriter and pianist Guilherme Arantes. Look out for the full schedule in the weeks to come.
