If Tokyo's Oktoberfest onslaught doesn't take your fancy, head to Yokohama's Yamashita Park for a taste of Belgian beery goodness instead. Take your pick of nearly 60 different varieties, running from the workaday (Stella Artois) to the downright exotic (Mystic Cherry). There'll also be live music from singer-songwriter Anton Walgrave and scruffy blues maestro Roland Van Campenhout. No admission fee is required, but food and drinks are bought with tickets that must be purchased in bulk; the ¥3,100 'starter set' gets you a glass and eleven tickets.
