The Omotesando lightup didn't happen last year, but this year marks a return to normal: some 500,000 LED lights are shrouding the elm trees that run between the Jingumae and Omotesando crossings, and smartphone users can participate in a 'stamp rally' promising discounts and other goodies at around 70 participating stores in the area.
