Gay & Lesbian, Bars

Review

A fixture on the anglophone gay scene for more than two decades, this spacious bar has been run since Christmas 2002 by a jovial pair of guys who go by the unlikely names of Nori and Ebi (Seaweed and Shrimp). Beyond its famous, giant ikebana flower arrangements, you’ll find scented candles, tiny cacti, antique-looking Western furniture and a piano that sometimes actually gets played. Men, women and foreigners are made to feel equally welcome at this very laid-back place.
