Review

Clean and friendly, with facilities that put more expensive places to shame (kitchens on each floor, laundry machines, a Japanese-style bath), the New Koyo may offer the cheapest overnight stay in Tokyo. Rooms are tiny, however, and the place is slightly out of the way, although central Tokyo is easily accessible from the nearby Hibiya line station. The owners also run a more traditional and upmarket Japanese-style inn, the Andon (www.andon.co.jp), in the same area.
