Review

There’s been a Marunouchi Hotel since 1924; its latest incarnation opened in the Oazo Building in autumn 2004. The lobby is on the seventh floor, from where a truly spectacular atrium soars through the centre of the hotel. Rooms (which vary considerably in size) are on the ninth to 17th floors – hence some fantastic views over the train tracks of neighbouring Tokyo Station – and major in sumptuous materials in a palette of browns and golds. Restaurants include Japanese and French ones, and business facilities are good. A classy joint.
