Time Out says

Teams of high school students compete for the nation's hearts this weekend... via their stomachs. The Umaimon Koshien (a cheeky reference to the hotly contested high school baseball championship) pitches groups from Hokkaido all the way to Okinawa into an almighty cook-off, and the finalists will be hitting Tokyo on Saturday. Head to the plaza outside Yurakucho Station to sample their offerings, ranging from meat-wrapped kiritanpo (Akita) to ebi-imo dumplings (Kyoto), and cast a vote for your favourite dish.
