There are an estimated 43 million refugees and internally displaced people worldwide – a mind-boggling number that's made more tangible by this annual film festival organised by the UN High Commissioner for Refugees. The 7th edition of the UNHCR Refugee Film Festival is spread across a range of venues, including Aoyama Gakuin Astudio, the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Tokyo in Kudanshita and the Instituto Cervantes de Tokio in Kojimachi. Most of the films have English subtitles (check the website for further information), with notable pics this year including Angelina Jolie's In the Land of Blood and Honey, Dominique Margot's Toumast: Guitars and Kalashnikovs and Kim Nguyen's Rebelle (War Witch), pictured.
