Namaste India 2012

Sat Sep 22 - Sun Sep 23, 2012 Yoyogi Park

Time Out says

The nation's biggest Indian festival returns for its 20th edition this year – which, conveniently enough, also coincides with the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and India. This year's live entertainment ranges from the atmospheric (traditional Odissi and Bharatanatyam dance performances) to the ass-kicking (Kalaripayattu martial arts displays at the end of each day), with a healthy smattering of Bollywood to keep the kids entertained. And with over 20 food booths – including some of Tokyo's top Indian eateries – plus stalls selling handicrafts, clothes and music, it should be a fun way to spend a weekend afternoon.
