Toyosu Oktoberfest 2012

The original Munich Oktoberfest kicks off on September 22 this year, by which point Tokyo will have hosted five spin-off events of its own (plus an extra one in Yokohama). This Toyosu edition at least manages to fall within a few weeks of the beer-fuelled bacchanale that it's aping, running from August 31 until September 9. As with all the other Oktoberfests around town, you can enjoy pricey pints of German beer served in real glasses, with bratwurst, sauerkraut and oom-pah bands to sweeten the mood.
