Namaste India 2011

Sat Sep 24 - Sun Sep 25, 2011 Yoyogi Park

Time Out says

Sure, it's only been a month since the last India Festival in Yoyogi Park, but this one promises to be bigger and better (and, judging by the thin crowd at the last event – which fell right in the middle of Obon – that shouldn't be too hard). There'll be traditional Bharatanatyam and Odissi performances by both Indian and Japanese dancers, as well as a crack troupe of Bollywood hoofers dispatched by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations. And with more than 20 different food booths, plus stalls selling the usual array of handicrafts, clothes and music, it promises to be an entertaining way to while away a weekend afternoon.
