Good Design Expo 2011

Describing itself as one of the largest design events in Asia, Good Design Expo is also one of the least discriminating. In theory, it's a marvellous idea: a chance for creators from a wide swathe of different industries to display their latest innovations, all of which have made it to the second round of screenings for this year's Good Design Award. But the devil's in the volume: there were 1,100 lucky winners last year, more than a third of the total number of entries, and this year's event is likely to be just as overwhelming.
