Challenging the Tenkaichi Tournament for the title of Japan's number one udon contest, the U-1 Grand Prix was first held in Osaka in 2013 and now gears up for its third Tokyo edition. 16 top noodle-makers from all across the country will do battle just outside Yoyogi Park, where you can also look forward to plenty of related tipples and not-so-related but entertaining performances.
