Namaste India 2014

Sat Sep 20 - Sun Sep 21, 2014 Yoyogi Park B Area

Time Out says

The nation's biggest Indian festival returns again with traditional music and dance performances, including a healthy smattering of Bollywood to keep the kids entertained. You can also try wearing a sari, relax with yoga or enter a lottery for round-trip tickets to India, and with more than 20 food booths – including some of Tokyo's top Indian eateries – plus stalls selling handicrafts, clothes and music, Namaste should be a fun way to spend a weekend afternoon. Note that due to the continuing anti-dengue fever measures in Yoyogi Park, the venue has been changed from the usual Event Plaza to the park's B zone, further away from the foresty area. The event organisers also recommend that all visitors wear long-sleeve shirts and long pants in order to minimise the risk of mosquito bites.
