Even Korean food is gently seasoned in Kyoto. Risei goes easy on spices and lets the beef and organic vegetables provide the flavours. The bibimbap and naengmyeon are as good as it gets in this price bracket. There’s also a 12-strong menu of Korean teas in a homey spot furnished with Korean antiques.
