Anti-nuclear protestors come in a variety of shapes and sizes. During yesterday's Goodbye to Nuclear Power Plants Rally – which, depending on who you asked, drew between 20,000 and 60,000 people – we happened across an uyoku far-rightist who, in contrast to the majority of his nationalist brethren, was actively supporting the protest. 'Standing against nuclear power is an act of patriotism, showing concern for your country!' his placard proclaims. 'Patriotism isn't a crime! Uyoku are anti-nuclear too!' Not a view that many of his peers would endorse, perhaps, but it was encouraging to see all the same.
