Auto enthusiasts are in for a treat as the world's largest custom car show unfurls at Makuhari Messe this weekend. Toyota, Nissan and Subaru are just a few of the major automakers due to unveil concept cars and customised versions of their regular models at Tokyo Auto Salon 2013, which this year is taking over the entire Messe complex ('now 1.3 times bigger!' squeals the publicity blurb, a little awkwardly). Also keep an eye out for the numerous examples of Japan's homegrown tuning scene – oh, and for the scantily clad 'booth babes' who tend to monopolise the event's countless photo ops.
