After seeing a slight dip in attendance last year, it's back to business as usual at the biggest entertainment fair in the world. There are over 200 companies and a total of 1,600 booths lined up for this year's Tokyo Game Show, many of them jostling for attention in categories that didn't even exist a few years ago, such as the Smartphone Game and Social Game Area. If you don't mind queueing (sometimes for well over an hour at a time), you can get your hands on some of the hottest games currently in development, from makers like Capcom, Konami, Square Enix and Sega. There's also an official cosplay event on the Saturday, so make sure you bring a camera.
Note: Although the Tokyo Game Show starts on September 20, only the Saturday and Sunday are open to the general public
