It's not like we needed an excuse to go exploring the alcohol-sodden streets and alleyways of Asagaya, but it's nice to have one all the same. Following a well-received debut last autumn, the Nomiya Festival returns for another weekend of concerted boozing – and it's 50% bigger this time. The ¥4,000 ticket entitles bar crawlers to a complimentary drink at over 60 eateries and watering holes in the area, plus a spot of grub (valid for a total of two dishes). Tickets are available in advance at participating venues, and will be sold on the day at Kaiseitei (Asagaya Station, north exit), Mad Hog Kitchen (Asagaya Station, south exit) and Hananomai (Minami-Asagaya Station).
Open May 10-12
