Time Out says

While even Japanese audiences are often happy to sit through kabuki and noh performances without having the slightest idea what the actors are yabbering on about, the same can't be said of rakugo, the comic storytelling form that first came to prominence in the 17th century. Osaka native Katsura Koharudanji has worked hard to make his art accessible to foreign audiences, giving subtitled performances in Europe, Asia and North America – including a show at the UN last year. Tokyoites have been starved of the action thus far, but Koharudanji will be making belated amends with this gig at Aoyama supper venue Eats and Meets Cay, which comes complete with English subs. Advance reservations can be made at e.mcay@spiral.co.jp.
