Smart Illumination Yokohama 2014

Held since 2011, Yokohama's Smart Illumination show makes use of the latest in energy-efficient lighting technology to turn the city's waterfront areas into a sea of colour. This year's edition is held as part of Yokohama's designation as the 'Culture City of East Asia' for 2014, a cooperative venture with China's Quanzhou and Gwangju in Korea that brings together cutting-edge artists from all three countries. Make sure to head south to Yokohama in the middle of autumn and see this spectacle light up the night's darkness.
