Prince Charles once dined at this historic shabu shabu restaurant. It’s one of several establishments claiming to have invented the dish (credit usually goes to Osaka’s Suehiro restaurant), but first or not, Junidanya certainly helped popularise the swishing of beef strips in boiling water. A shabu shabu dinner here will set you back ¥10,500-¥16,800, but you can pick up a bento lunch for far less.
