Car showrooms are so passé. Toyota's Lexus brand has come up with a new display concept by opening this three-floor space in Aoyama that lures the public with the promise of art, fashion, film and music, not to mention a swish interior designed by Wonderwall's Masamichi Katayama. The world's first Intersect by Lexus shop (there are more to come in New York and Dubai) also includes a café and lounge area – plus a few of the latest automobiles, of course. The PR claim that this is a ‘unique space’ may raise a few eyebrows among those who've visited the Mercedes-Benz Connection flagship shop in Roppongi, but it's a welcome addition to the Aoyama scene all the same.
