Hot on the heels of last weekend's Hokkaido Festival, the southernmost of Japan's main islands is getting a chance to flaunt its charms. Kurobuta pork, toriten chicken, Hakata ramen – it's all here. Read more


Adachi Fireworks
Originally scheduled to take place at the peak of summer, Adachi's grandiose fireworks display was postponed out of respect for victims of March 11. With 10,000 fireworks involved, it should be worth the wait. Read more
