Setagaya Boroichi is one of Tokyo's oldest and best loved rag markets. Taking place over two weekends - one mid-December, one mid-January - it hosts over 700 stalls and attracts hundreds of thousands of bargain hunters. A great place to pick up antiques, used bits and bobs, and some rather tasty festival food (the chocolate bananas are well worth a punt), it's also an excellent place for people watching - if you can bear the cold...
