Some kinds of films are best watched in the wee hours of the morning, as your body's telling you to sleep while you mind goes a-wandering. That's undoubtedly true of the warped animated shorts featured in this all-night screening, which arrives in Tokyo after being shown in Hiroshima and Kyoto. The hentai (perverse) films include work by Finland's Joni Männistö, America's Brent Green and former Frank Zappa collaborator Bruce Bickford, and run the gamut from stop-motion to claymation to some seriously warped line animation.
