Review

Togetsu-kyo has inspired photo-graphers and poets for centuries. Its name, which literally means ‘Moon Crossing Bridge’, derives from an emperor’s poetic notion that the arc of the bridge over the river resembles the path of the moon as it crosses the sky. The current version, mainly built of concrete, dates from 1934.
