This time warp’s eerie blue lighting may not be to everyone’s taste, though it was installed on the advice of an expert, who claimed that women would look their best under such illumination. Art lovers should check out the wonderful decor, which includes three original works by celebrated 20th-century artist Seiji Togo, who was a former regular here. Even though the pieces are each worth about ¥1 million, the owner won’t part with them. The retro menu offers teas, coffees and a range of lurid jelly desserts.
