One of Pontocho’s newest faces, Kuro opened in summer 2008 and hit all the right notes from the start. Good drinks at great prices, a stylish all-black interior (‘kuro’ means black) and bubbly, fun staff see the bar busy on most nights. If you visit this bar, you’ll find that the Asahi Jukusen is a cut above the usual draft beers.
