Velour seats, smoke-stained plaster walls and classical music set the old-time tone of this two-storey tea salon. Crammed with antiques, it opened in 1934 and has barely changed since. Don’t expect frappucinos, or even cappuccinos: the small menu of teas, coffees and cocktails is just as retro as the setting.
