Restaurants & Cafés

Review

An American landscape designer used glistening pools, raked gravel, bamboo plants and other Japanese garden staples to create a low-rise dining and shopping complex with a Zen theme. The restaurants, most of which try to match the spectacular setting, include a designer dessert cafe, a branch of a Hokkaido ramen chain, a cheap and cheerful potato-obsessed restaurant and a Japanese health-food restaurant.
