Eel porridge may sound like a cockney breakfast, but it’s actually the gourmet speciality at this historic address. Every guest receives the same five-course meal, including the porridge and a sliced-eel soup at Warajiya. The 400-year-old restaurant lists legendary warlord Hideyoshi Toyotomi as a former guest, although he is likely to have enjoyed a cup of tea rather than the fishy feast served these days.
