It has been only a few days since Google rolled out its social media platform for the general public, and already the stats geeks are listing up the early adopters. The Google+ Top 100 features plenty of recognisable names (ironically, Mark Zuckerberg takes poll position), and both Lady Gaga and Ashton Kutcher are already in on the action.
While China and Taiwan get a reasonable showing, the sole Japanese representative, as far as we can make out, is our good friend Joi Ito, who sits at 91. This is not to say that Japan is not represented at all, of course. Early signs how that, despsite not having had an official Japan launch, many of Tokyo's heavy Twitter users are already experimenting with Google+.
Time Out Tokyo's Editorial Director has spent the week playing about with the website, though we're not too surprised to find that his current rank is so low he's barely visible. Onwards and upwards, though, eh?
We're keen to know who in Japan is already active on Google+. Drop us a line via our Twitter account to let us know how you think it's shaping up.
