Hamburger restaurant, Ore no Hamburg Yamamoto, and food and shopping conglomerate Lotte once again join forces to create this year’s edition of their Ghana-chocolate-featuring Valentine treat, ‘Ore Ghana’, on sale from February 1 to February 14. Topped with chocolate and surrounded by a seasonal take on ‘Ore Demi’ (the restaurant’s original demi-glace sauce) that combines Ghana Black Chocolate with balsamic vinegar and red wine, the Ore Ghana is a burger that makes no attempts to disguise its chocolaty involvements.

For the third year running, food and shopping conglomerate Lotte join forces with popular ramen shop Men-ya Musashi (is there anyone they're not joining forces with?) to present this year’s edition of their Ghana-chocolate-flavoured ramen: ‘Miso Ghana 2011’ — on sale (in the limited quantity of twenty portions each day) until Valentine’s Day. With an increased chocolate content of 1.2 in comparison to last year’s, this year’s version powers-up its chocolaty taste to create an exquisite blend of cocoa, spices and ramen soup. Comes topped with a mixture of lamb and pork combined with ingredients cooked in Ghana Milk Chocolate, Ghana White Chocolate and white wine vinegar-flavoured mashed potato. Available from February 1 until February 14. Price, 900 yen.

For a chocolaty dish that’s a little less sponsored by Lotte, look no further than Tepito’s Mole Poblano: chicken generously covered in a traditional Mexican chocolate sauce — a concoction
that’s said to have been developed by a monastery in Estado de Puebla and now plays an important role during Easter and other festive occasions in Mexico. In addition to their Mole Poblano, which features a sauce with a flavour that’s more spicy than sweet, Tepito also regularly hosts live music — check the schedule to add some cha-cha to your choco.
