Cotton wholesaler Eirakuya was established in 1615, and almost four centuries later, the company is flourishing. In 2007 it launched a sub-brand, Ihee, selling cotton tote bags with modern Japanese motifs such as cherries, bamboo or the torii gates of a shrine. Upstairs, another Eirakuya brand sells all kinds of headwear, from flat caps to trilbies, emblazoned with the signature prints.
