Ippodo

Kyoto-ites will argue about the best green tea, but elsewhere in Japan one brand reins supreme in the public mind: Ippodo. This former purveyor to the imperial family has been in business for three centuries, and based in this store since the 19th century. The store recently added a salon in which you can sample the teas before deciding which to buy.
