Kagoshin

Back when Kyoto was divided into blocks of merchants, this area specialised in crafting bamboo. These days just a couple of shops remain, including this 19th-century establishment, which offers bamboo baskets made to order, as well as bamboo beer mugs, toys, ear cleaners, chopsticks, coasters and cutlery.
