The granddaddy of shichimi (Japanese ‘seven spice’) shops has been trading here since the mid 17th century. Today you can buy their blend of peppers, sesame seeds and spices in supermarkets nationwide, but since you’re here, do like all the other tourists and pick up a packet from the flagship store.
