The former home and atelier of master potter and sculptor Kanjiro Kawai is a museum of his artworks and an immaculate townhouse that shows how a wealthy artist lived during the early 20th century. Kawai was one of the leaders of the Japanese folk craft movement, and his home has been preserved remarkably well, with many examples of his work and a multi-level kiln in the backyard.
